Promoting a culture of life on campus…

Category : General Pro-Life

…requires planning, time, and effort.  Tomorrow begins our first weekly planning meeting.  We will be planning a trip to “Clare’s Hope” abortion museum in Mobile (Sept 18th), involvement in 40 Days for Life (Sept 22nd-Oct. 31), this October’s “Breast Cancer Prevention” event, and our up-coming March for Life trip.

Tomorrow we’re meeting at the Commons patio at 9AM.

Every Thursday after that, we will meet in Room 265 from 8:30-9:50AM.

We have a place for you on our leadership team.  You are the future of UWF Students for Life and the voice for the voiceless on this campus.   Come – no experience required, just bring yourself. :)

Festival on the Green: Recap

Category : Events

Thank you everyone for your help and support in making this fun activity such a resounding SUCCESS!

This event was a time to unite with the community and the university in a celebration of food, culture, knowledge, and craft.  Our group was located next to the stage where our volunteers enjoyed the performances of young musicians, belly dancers, karate, and Native American music.  In this location, many passers-by were caught by the image of our life-like fetal models.

Festival on the Green

…..Just wanted to let you all know that UWF Students for Life will have a booth at the Festival on the Green!

If you have never gone before, you should definitely come this year.  It is SUPER fun and FREE.   There will be live performances, arts and crafts for sale, exhibits of all kinds, yummy food, sunshine…  what more could you want?

To raise money for UWF Students for Life, we will be selling cold sodas, baked goods, and face painting for donations.  The proceeds will help us with advertising events, paying for speakers to come to UWF, buying pro-life material and pamphlets, etc.  We hope to see you at the Festival. Make sure you come visit our booth :)

Upcoming Events:

“Bella” movie night (Tuesday April 6th, Commons Auditorium, 7PM)

Pro-life Ambassador Training 101 (Wednesdays April 7, 14, 21, 28th at 6PM in building 11 Rm223)

We need YOUR talent and MUSCLES!

Bella is going to be a big event for UWF Students for Life.  We need YOUR help to get word out about it and make it a fun event.  Here are some things we need help with:

-Advertising (print out some flyers for us, tape some flyers around campus, design a poster for the event, email the Voyager newspaper about our event)

-Hospitality (greet people coming to the event, pass out food and goodies, stuff goodie bags, pick up food for the event)

Please email me as soon as possible if you can help in any way. It can be as simple as posting up a handful of flyers….

UWF Students for Life needs YOU!

Pro-Life Ambassador Training 101: Wednesdays in April

Category : Events, General Pro-Life

  • Do you ever feel like you have the desire to share the pro-life message, but just don’t know how?

  • Are you afraid of getting into a heated discussion in which could end in misunderstanding or bad feelings instead of knowledge and growth?

For this reason UWF Students for Life is hosting Aaron Chatraw, Air Force pilot and Georgia Tech graduate, to give us a 4 week training program to help you to be a calm, conversational, inspirational pro-life ambassador! He has been trained with the well-respected and highly appraised pro-life group: Justice for All, and has  already had significant hands-on experience with engaging positive dialogue on this important issue.

Come learn how you can be a better advocate of the truth about human life. 50 million human lives, along with an additional 1 million per year, have been killed by abortion - can we afford to remain silent any longer?  There is a right way to respectfully discuss abortion and the facts of human life- come find out how!

Training Dates:

Wednesday April 7th 6PM

Wednesday April 14th 6PM

Wednesday April 21st 6PM

Wednesday April 28th 6PM

**Please email me by March 20th to order the handbook for pro-life apologetics that goes along with the pro-life training series.  It is not required, but is helpful to have as a reference and refresher.  The cost is $9.
