Pro-Life Freedom Ride 7/24/10

The first ever Pro-Life Freedom Ride was in Birmingham, AL, and UWF Students for Life were there! Modeled after the Freedom Rides of the Civil Rights era, the Pro-Life Freedom Rides are meant to call attention to the most important civil rights issue of all: abortion.

This rally was held the night before the first ever Pro-Life Freedom Ride in Birmingham, AL. It was a very powerful evening full of personal testimony, inspirational music, and heartfelt prayer.

The day before the Pro-Life Freedom Rides begin in Birmingham, AL, UWF Students for Life were able to attend a live taping of the show "Life on the Rock" which is broadcast on the International TV station EWTN.

UWF Students for Life attended the Safe Harbor Annual Banquet and got to hear personal stories, testimonies, and motivation from great speakers, including Pam Tebow.

Festival on the Green 2010

UWF Students for Life setup a table at the Festival on the Green. We had homemade cookies, brownies, bread, yogurt, soda, and water available for donations, face painting, and a fetal model display to show people how big (and heavy!) babies in the womb are at 10, 12, 20, 26, and 30 weeks old.

Students For Life Conference 2010

The day after the March for Life, we attended the National Students for Life Conference. We got to hear from great speakers, snag some awesome (and often free!) resources for our group, and be in the company of 1200 other pro-life students from around the country.

March For Life 2010!

Students for Life marched in Washington D.C. in the 30-something degree weather (we actually saw snow!) and took a stand for life. An estimated 400,000 people turned out for the march, and of that, an estimated 360,000 (90%) were under 35! We are the pro-life generation!

The day before the March For Life 2010, we attended the Mass for Life at the Basilica in Washington D.C. It was PACKED with visitors ready to march the next day.
